Apple’s iTunes U got an upgrade. A big one. To know which classes are new and which are old, the new have a spine to them. They expand and you can view class info, assignments that need completion and it will even switch you over to iBooks to show you the content that you need to learn. As well as that you also get a view of your teacher, and some information on the teacher. You also get links to different content that is related to the particular class you are taking and links to Applications that are relevant to your class. Finally you also can view videos related to the class you are taking which is useful if you missed out on a class.

Apple’s education event held today has brought allot of great new education features to it’s iOS devices. One of the coolest things shown off was the new text book feature, which will be available through iBooks. The text book feature allows students to interactively use their iOS devices, and use them for their education purposes. One of the best new features is the ability to select and highlight particular bits of text and then create notes about the highlighted text. This is a very useful feature that many College and High School people could find use with. The text books are very intuitive, making use of Apple’s multi touch gestures. The books themselves are high in file size, which can make them drag on a little bit when trying to open. But the features Apple provides for the books is well worth a wait.

The Beats by Dr. Dre Studio Editions are like nothing I have ever heard before. Let me start with the design, the design of the Beats is like nothing else on the the market. They are the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever worn. They are almost Apple like, in their simplicity. Now the audio quality is incredible, the bass is unmatched with these headphones. I’ve never heard the quality of sound like this with any other headphones I’ve used. Even, friends headphones which were higher on the market don’t compare. These headphones are comfortable, classy and quality.

Monster introduced the headphones in 2008, and since then their quality hasn’t been surpassed by any other headphones, even in the same line. They are a little pricy, coming in at $299. The headphones come with two cables, one black, one red, the black ones with push to talk features. They come with a studio connector. They come with an airplane connector, and a cleaning cloth. Finally they come with a case which is rigid enough that you can bang it around as much as you want and it won’t hurt the headphones.

The Emporia Solid Plus is something truly unique in it’s category. Instead of being developed for the software user, it’s been developed for the hardware user. The device offers a unique flash light and emergency help calling style which gives it it’s uniqueness. The Device is both rigged and waterproof meaning you can bang it around as much as you like, and go underwater as much as you like and it will still be useable.

There isn’t much more to this device than that, it’s rugged, can take water and still work. One final key point I want to touch on is the emergency call feature which will call 5 of your top friends if your in need and then switch to 911 if you get no help from them.
