Ustream today decided it was time for a change, and decided to completely refresh it’s site design as well as it’s players, with a new more modern look. Along with changing their slogan to You’re On, the tabs on the website now read: All live, Mobile, Sport, Entertainment, Gaming, News, Animals and 24/7. The home page no longer features a live stream of Ustream’s choice, instead they provide you with scrolling images of various popular users as well as Recommended live, Featured upcoming events, Featured highlights and a create show box.

The new player will allow the user to continue to have they’re images scrolling in the background will off air, but the foreground now gives you the ability to to view other users who are live while your not titled “Recommended for you”. It provides a list that you can scroll through providing you with various different other users streaming.

The Broadcast Console hasn’t changed except for the new Twitter bar placed at the top allowing you to Tweet what you are broadcasting. They have always had this except its now it’s rite in front of your eyes when you launch the broadcast console.

As many of you may already know Ustream has been working very hard lately to bring you the best experience, which is understandable with big competition like BlogTV, Stickam, and Justin.TV. They recently added Facebook integration allowing you to find your Facebook friends on Ustream. As well as the High Quality feature which really depends on your camera i.e Bad camera, Bad quality. And Ustream also now has it’s own Twitter account @Ustream.

Overall it’s an excellent update, I’ve always loved Ustream and this shows they are always on top of the latest competition.
